i was born in halabja in 1980. One day, our house caught fire, i fell out and, as i am told, i stayed in the fire for an hour. So many people had gathered around our house but nobody but no one dared doing anything. In the end, someone had covered himself with a blanket and took out of the house. I was taken to the hospital in Halabja. When opened my eyes, i saw a lot of people around me and i realized that something bad had happened to me. The medical staff had done what they could do for me at the time then they referred me to a hospital in Sulaimani. The doctors told my family that they had to remove my fingers, so they cut all my toes. After a month, the doctors took some skin from my thigh to amend my feet with it that really hurt. After sating in that hospital for three months, they sent me home. Then i was moving around without being able to stand on my legs, i had to use a wheelchair for that purpose, i was selling newspapers in the streets of the market place. One day, i entered the prosthetic limbs center in Sulaimani and asked them if they had any kind of treatment for my case. I put my feet on the ground, the skin came off my feet and blood was everywhere. The doctors told me that my feet were no longer useful and it would be better to be amputated and get prosthetic ones. I took their advice and had my feet amputated in 27/7/2010, i got the new ones on 3/12/2010. I became happy, i relaxed a little bit. Then i came to know Mr. Sarko who is disabled too and helps kids with special needs. I made contact with him and he told me that he would do anything he could do for me. He provided me a what i needed. I got married in 2013 and i have 2 kids now. I spend my days trying to make my living, people respect me a lot. It's been 10 years now since i got my My limbs and they have lost their quality completely, sometimes when i go to the market place to sell the newspapers and rosaries to make my living, my limbs come off me and it really hurts. after i met mr. sarko, who is one of my fellow citizens, a knew that he is also disabled and has prosthetic legs. i made contact with him, he said he would be very happy to meet me at his office. from then on, he had provided me walkers to make it easy for me to sell my stuff, he had offered me special chars as well. his favors toward me have been so useful for me until now that i don't know how to thank him enough so i want to ask Mr. Sarko's organization to offer me new libs as i know he is keen on helping people like me. I appreciate what you do we are on our way to Diarbakir in Mr Sarko's own car accompanied by another child who has lost his legs, his name is Mustafa. as we reched there, doctor John started to make a 3D template for my legs. when we went to get the limbs, i put them on and i became extremely happy. we practised a lot on my new limbs with Mr Sarko to get used to them before returning. Mr John and his wife prayed a lot for us to be safe on our way home. i want to thank doctor John, Mr Sarko and Toward a New Life Organization one more time because they really gave me a new life.
